Thanks for the offer but I am going 100% original and ditching the superwinch and going for the asian ones. Thanks for the offer though

Thanks, I might be looking to sell them if I can ever get the darn discs off the '85 hubs. I haven't dismantled my hubs yet so I am unsure of the condition. Thanks

I got hold of an entire front diff from an 85 cruiser and I am going to fit everything back to the stub axel but I am having difficulty getting the main hub off the brake disc. What's the knack in getting that off?

Thanks

Sorry for my confusion but your last two posts seem to conflict. One said the stub axles are the same and one said they are different? Thanks

But if the hub is 16mm longer and wouldn't the axle stub stick out 16mm too long if pre 90 hubs are fitted. The axle stub is at the end still even with the spacer

Just a thought, the hub assembly is longer than the manual set ups, thus the need for the adapter plate, does this mean that if I replace the whole hub assembly from an earlier model that the CV stub axel will need to be changed too?

I am in Auckland.

I think I will try to remove the broken bolts and use Asian hubs with the adapter plate, if not I will try to get hold of some earlier 70 series hubs and replace the lot. Thanks

No the superwinch ones were fitted when I recently purchased the Landcruiser. By collet, do you mean those cone washers that the factory hubs have?

Thanks

In the weekend I managed to shear all 6 bolts holding the free wheel hub to the hub assembly (on both sides) Does anyone have any ideas how I can get the broken bolts out. I have 12 to remove in ...
