depends on condition, can usually get up to about $500 i wouldnt pay any more than that.

most i find are about $100 - $200 for complete engine loom and ecu.

hey guys, after a bare or near bare chassis from an LN6* series hilux surf, dont mind if its ifs or leaf spring front, or from petrol or diesel, dont want the body, as thats just extra rubbish to get rid of. im in wellington, but will have access to a car trailer, but nothing in the south island ...

yeah, im tossing up either one of those, or possibly the combination pintle from 4wdbits.co.nz as i need a tow ball, seem to always be towing various trailers with mates cars and my own on the back lol

turoa, make take you up on that offer , going to ask a couple tow bar places tmrw, as i want a new removable hitch 50mm ball made up, but the current fixed mounted one hangs too low.

yeah iv seen those, but i dont have a towbar at the back or anything, so thats useless to me.

havent found a cheap one basically..have found a couple of cheap 2B's and also a cheap 1HDT,

though apart from modifying engine mounts, how much else work is involved in the 1kz-te? bellhousing?

thinking about slightly more low down power and was thinking of putting in a larger diesel engine into the surf.

does anyone know what mods would be required to fit either a 1HDT out of a VX landcruiser i think? or possibly a B series engine such as a 2B?

TRIP POSTPONED Due to current weather conditions around the wellington region, i have choosen to postpone this trip. im not willing to put peoples lives and trucks at risk in such conditions that could change quickly. i will be doing this at a later stage, possibly the 23rd of july. - david[/b]

yeah il be keen dude, havent been out lately, so might have to give the old girl a beating haha.

il be keen to help out for the welly guys once iv done a couple more mods to the hilux over the next couple months.

another idea is to go to an electrical wholesaler such as mastertrade etc,

they have plastic enclosures which are waterproof and come in various sizes to suit.

though i havent been here very long, i would be very happy to pay a membership fee in order to keep this place up and running.

it will be a full day trip most likely as its over waiarapa ways.

yep, another good night out.
the weather made it quite a bit more interesting too, i really need to get new tyres on the hilux so i can have a bit of fun without sliding everywhere.

might be time to get some winches as well and a couple of anchors.
