cool sounds like what i need and commodore engines are cheap eh....my diesel still ok but may keep eye out for conversion parts now and get ready for the change...also the commodore engine must be more grunty than 2.8 turbo diesel would that be correct

thanks comilux for the offer at having look at your hi lux and may be up that way in few weeks time so will be in touch and going by info im getting sounds like a good option for me

sounds good and yes did hear needed adapter and appearantly place in christchurch sells them...do you know your diff ratio and does it sit on 100kph easily

hi..just wondering whats involved and roughly what costs involved to put 3.8 v6 into diesel hilux (1995 doublecab) and if its really worth the time and money,also will it go much better than my 2.8 turbo engine...help appreciated

heater fan does not go at all but that black relay thing by passegers foot when removed and i cross cross wires where the box thing should the fan goes so i figure that black box is buggered,but no warm air at all

oh bugger i do like the look of those mickey tees on trade me but no extra cash at the moment to go buy them altho probably need something for next wof as my wranglers getting down so will just have to keep looking for another option i guess

just out of interest do you use them on road as well if so what are they like on road as i do both off road and on road but they do look like good tyre also any pics of vehicles using them be good

yeah they look cool and reasonably priced,also seen on trade me mickey thompson baja claws for $1300 but what are they like 31x11.5x15 so would suit my truck good because have 10inch rims and standard height body so they wont rub and nice height tyre so wont drain to much power from my 2.8 turbo

most of my 4 wheelin is mud and have 32x11.5x15 wrangler at the moment but nearly worn altho been good tyres but i want a good knobbly tyre to make my lux look tough too and want something like mudzillas or crawlers (not worried about how fast they wear either) just look mean and good in mud

hi...does anyone know why my heater does not have any hot air coming out from it,i checked valve under bonnet and its opening and closing and there is water in the heater core,so buggered if i know...also the fan stopped and i have traced it to the black relay box by passengers foot seems to be ...

TIGHTENING A LSD
hi..can someone explain to me as simple as possible how to tighten my hilux limited slip diff so it works better,it worked ok when i fitted it but not too good now only spins 2 wheels at higher revs not down low,so going to pull out and tighten hopefully...please explain what tools needed too

i am going to mount a warn 9000 winch on my hilux but not sure to mount on front or up under flat deck,its a 95 doublecab and would be a lot easier to mount under the rear altho not sure on disadvantages (any ideas would be nice) also if mounted on front whats the best and tidiest way to do it, i am ...

has any1 got any idea how to gain bit of power without to much expense...it is a 95 sr5 double cab,32 inch wheels,4.8 diff gears,2.8 turbo (turbo off 2.4),goes ok but feel like needs bit more for hills and things on road
