I have a 4.5 V8 diesel and whish I had got the older model the V8 has the alternater mounted very low so will suck in all sorts of shit if going though mud or water more than axel deep

Having owned a 2005 Hilux and a 2008 70 series cruiser both from new neither are are tough as the old ones the Hilux was faster on road and would go places with only a LSD that the heavy cruiser with twin diff locks wont go but is to light weight for serrious offroading heaps of problems keeping ...

Yes think you are right I can't find anything suitable and I can't see anywhere to move alternator to so far only solution seems to be don't go through water more than ankle deep. Yes LSD oil has additives relating to the heat and friction of a clutch that doesn't lock up with a dog type clutch as in these diff's those additives are the wrong one's ?

Just bought a new Hilux the base model does not come auto freewheeling hubs I didn't take much notice thinking it would have manual hubs but no it doesn't any sort of freewheeling hubs at all is this going to be a problem regards to diesel milage and tyre wear or have things improved over the years ...
