I just fitted a kit of a 1997 prado to my 1993 prado kzj78 the same as whats on a 185 surf and it all bolted up fine.

no o/d still the same only changed in 1990 and only on the landcruiser

hilux46/ 65/106 40 l/c's fine spline 60 and 70's pre 90 cv's are all the same.

what year is you 70 as were changed axles and cv's in 1990

I have those spaners at work at a cost of $25.00.

Had one in my Hilux for 5 years great motor as for the dizy just block all the holes up and pump low pressure air into it and put good leeds on it and you want have a promblem in the water ,never had any problems in the water and my one,andmine was carbed not injectored just make sure the computer ...

My dad had a fairy over drive in his S2 that had a holden 186 in it, and his over drive gave him a 25% drop in rev in all gear,As you can use it in any gear he used it in low box it was quite good it you wanted a gear between 1st & 2nd or 3rd & 4th it wood give you like a gear and 1/2. Cheers ...

I'd swap the whole back end over , and in the front I know it will take a bit of time but change the diff head over as the KZJ78 has bigger CVs then the LJ78 prado.If you are going to put 35" tyres the 4.88 will give you nice on & offroad gearing

the 2000 kzj95 don't have 9" diff head it has a 8" head so a hilux lockright will fit.

I had a 3.5 v8 in my hilux for 5 years and in the last year and a half I had a 3.9 motor with su carbs on it and you can just not compear the motors for power , and out of all the rover v8s the 3.9 is the best.

if it is a LJ78 or 71 it will have 4.8,s if its a kzj 78/71 it will have 4.3,s.

I have a good second hand rear prado diff for $300 ph 021 259 4746 Nigel

you will have to use the 1kz motor and auto/manual gearbox as the 2.8 gearbox is not the big box, and if you manual pump your injector pump
you will not have to wire up the computer cost about $1000 to do your pump it means less electrial bit to go wrong.
