Yeah, a 1-HZ. The non-turbo doesn't really concern me. Just after a workhorse. What do these go like? Thirsty and gutless?

What about installing a bench seat? Do all 70 series cruisers of the same vintage have the same seat mounts? ie would the double passenger seat out of a 70 series troopy or truck, bolt straight into a 70 series wagon?

Troopy would be great...but, do you put the kid's or the luggage in first!?

I seem to be experiencing a few problems with my 60 series 5 speed box. It's started jumping out of some gears, and hard to get in others! It used to jump out of 2nd occasionally, but now it's 3rd and 4th too, and alot more often. Time for a new one? (gearbox that is!). Is an exchange box the way to ...

What about $3500 for a replacement radiator for a 94 prado! Took it in this morn for a clean at best, recore at worst. 60% blocked, and no cores or radiators in the country apart from the $3500 toyota!

I've also been a bit disappointed with 1KZ-TE fuel economy. Out of my 94 Prado auto I average 14 litres / 100km. Compare that with my old 3B Landcruiser which returns 12 litres / 100km. Being 5 speed and snorkelled probably helps a bit though!

Can anyone out there offer me some advice on replacement shocks for a 94 prado 1KZ-TE? Just bought it, 200km's, still on originals. Primarily for my wifes use, although one day it may replace my older cruiser & have to tackle the more serious stuff.
