Funny you should say that as im runnin fj40 diffs and it is worst at about 50k man sucks only part way describes it i would hate to think what the people behind must think when i grab a handfull of steering and zag hard to the left to try and stop it.

Yep sorry i meant no hand brake on the disks. If it was me settin it up i would definitley set it up with hand brake on the disks and vented disks may not be the only way to go how about slotted or cross drilled they would prob clear water/mud even better than just vented disks wouldnt they? Is the 60 series any different from the 40 series in the hub cause my landi has 40 series diffs with disks on the rear i was told the are holden calipers and they are big disks! and grubty lookin calipers i can take a closer look if it might help you out

Mine was a similar sort of noise on the entry to the puddle then it locked solid i think it has bent a rod!!!. However i have done the swap and now have a better condition 28 in its place i think i will put a proper snorkel on it this time.

I made the mistake of takin my s3 landy with its ld28 thru a puddle i didnt check first turns out they really really dont like water much.
