I was chatting with Nev about the mudplug yesterday. He said he was planning to do a ring around over the next day or so to let people know what was happening but all is looking good at the moment. He also said that there have been a few trucks pull out due to mechanical and transport problems so ...

I ran into a couple of ECAN fellas down at the Mac today and questioned them about what was planned. Apparently they are trying to develop the south side near Coutts Island for us guys and also an area on the North side down past Taylors road. This should mean designated areas for specific vehicle ...

It has been known for sometime and I have heard it discussed at the CLROC meetings in the past. They are limiting access to the north bank and south bank, I can understand why as the flood protection banks are getting too damaged by irresponsible drivers. They are setting up a dedicated 4wd ...

I've always used the Nylon blocks and its never given me any trouble.

I guess if you were doing something like a Safri the weighs a tonne then the acetol blocks would be better. They have thaty as well though. Prob slightly more expensive.

I was in getting bolts at Blacks in Chch yesterday and was quoted $16.32 + GST for a 250mm length of Nylon rod to use for blocks. Cheap as I reckon. As long as you can split it yourself I doubt you will find cheaper. 8)

Cheers for your thought guys. I'm thinking that the budget isn't going to stretch to Simex. My next thought is maybe considering Maxxis Mudzillas but could prob only afford to got to a 33" @ $310each as the 35's are $380each. The benefit of the MTR is that the 35's are only $290 and I guess that the ...

Thoughts on Wrangler MT/R's please

I'm looking to buy some new tyres. Not sure whether to go with 33's or 35's. Seems the best value for $ is the MT/R's but haven't used them before. I only used Simex and thought I might put the feelers out there to see what you guys think. Any comments would be great either good or bad. 8) :?:

I'm just in the process of buying new tyres myself and I have been quoted $369 each for the 32's. Mudzillas aren't a bad buy either at $310 each for a 33x13.5x15. And Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's are only $280ea for a 33 & $290ea for a 35.

Food for thought aye.
