my m8 has a ln106 and he wants to know if he can fit ifs front hubs from either a ln130 or a yn61 surf

Yeah mine was just a normal dizzy, yep there is a electronic dizzy that came out in the 3y surpose less maintenance would be the main advantage no points or condensor to wear out,electronic you can pretty much set it and forget it.

My 3y dissy stuffed out over a year ago. When I rang toyota for parts to fix it I was told that I could only buy a complete new dissy which was $1150.00. After the parts man consulted with head office he got back to me with a price of $225.00 including gst for a complete distributor.

Yep I agree with that toyota lsd diff heads dont last very long at all,reshimmed my one about 12 months ago now it's not much better than a open diff

Have a surf i'm wrecking at the moment my truck allready has flares on it so dont need them there the 50mm ones with wire in them, make me a reasonable offer if you want.

Well did run better this morning with the hot air intake working,might have to look at the fast idle screw adjustment as it still doesnt idle very well untill it warms up a bit,thermostat is new

Thanks for the suggestions guys,just checked the hot air intake hadnt thought of that the vacum hose was disconnected with a screw in the end of it seems to be working now.Hopefully makes a difference in the morning

Had similar problem in my truck turned out to be load proportioning valve had seized up could also be brake booster.

K&N may well make a high flow filter would that can fit the original air box,
they reckon they actually increase air flow. Dont know if id rely on just the snorkle foam.

hey I have a hilux lsd diff head which has seen better days and breaks away very easy. Has anyone tryed tightening these up before, any info would be good.

I have a 86 hilux surf which I have fittted longer shackles to and wound up the front torsion bars since doing this the brake pedal intermitently goes hard and there is a cliicking sound coming from the LSPV. Do i need to raise the mount on the diff for the load sencing arm?

I spoke with a guy from manawatu toyota today they have recalled 27,000
surf 4 runners.

try loosening of handbrake cable tension altogether.Then adjust barrel adjusters on each side so as shoes are just in contact with inside of brake drum,then adjust the handbrake accordingly if everything is assembled correctly and in good nick you shouldnt have any probs.
