If your braking axles, Howart eng can make stronger axles plus the 109 cv are used as an upgrade for rangies, also pleanty of after-market parts for rover diffs, like toughend R&P sets, tougher axles, you could always put in an arb locker in the front might cost a bit more than a diff swap, but ...

Do the v6's destroy the gear box's, One of the guys at work races a mr2, he's swapped the turbo changed the intercooler and put on a full flow exhaust, 160kw at the rear wheels, the torque is up around 400nm, not bad for a 2ltr, max torque is at 3200rpm.
