Re: Mitsubishi Challenger: Issues or major probs!!!!

Thats great, cheers for that. I take it from the responses that other than the usual maintenance etc, that there were no major issues. That also agrees with what I found on the web which was little or no major issues. Intention would be to keep this one simple. Workload offroad would be reasonably l...

TJ rear axle: Play

Hi team, In my wisdom and right before Xmas I thought I would rebuild the rear brake drum setup on the TJ for Xmas. I removed all the bits and bobs and have located replacements for the broken parts etc, no problem. While I was cleaning everything out I noticed about 5mm play in the drivers side rea...

Hey Chops We started from a stock 96 wrangler. So far have put 2" Budget boost (coil spacers), got these off trademe, and a 1.25" body lift. Am currently running 31" Coopers on stock rims with a front quick disco. Am going to 15x8 rims with a -ve25mm offset and 33's. Hopefully there w...

Re: 4wd Charity Run Cambridge to Hamilton 19th Sept and display

Managed to attend both days. Truck is under repair from the last Jeep Club trip but caught a lift with xj on Saturday and popped out on Sunday to watch some of the fun day with the wife in her tonka toy. To those who organised this event, hats off. It was just great. The Sunday was even better and I...

Cool. I've contatced him to see if he has (or can get quickly) what I need in the hope that he has more than is listed on there. Hi Fen, I have been using Greg, via xj, for a while now. Great service and fast. Most stuff I have ordered has been delivered in a couple of days. I have checked out his ...

Re: What did you do to your Jeep today?

Hi Fen I got mine at Dave Hadley Tyres in Lower Hutt. I got the impression they had 15x8 on the shelf the same as they had my 15x7 in the right fitment. Have emailed these guys to see if they can help. Also about 2-3 weeks ago the guy selling the ones in the link below had some with the right PCD an...

Re: What did you do to your Jeep today?

What's the right price for steelies? I got a set on the XJ last week for $90 each which I figured might not be cheap as chips but they were on the shelf and not outrageous. Mine are 15x7 and they only had silver, but I think the pricing was the same for 15x8 also and they'll easily paint black. The...

Ok, have fitted the hard top, couple of minor issues to resolve, the first being how and where to store the soft top the second fitting a CB. Fitted an adjustable rear trac bar. Removed washers offsetting drivers side rear wheel. Body lift in and sorted. Reco'd radiator fitted and no leaks. Got some...

Hi all, Managed to locate a hard top for our 1997 TJ and have fitted it. It is a little rough, but just needs some TLC. Anyway I would like to wire the window wiper and washer. As xj's comments, I'm much the same. Looks like a great event though, hope you all have a good one. Quick query have any of your club members got any 15x8 steelies to fit a TJ that they might like to sell. If so flick me a PM

Hi Well I decided I'm gunna pull that body lift out. Caused far too many troubles. Real stiff shifting between 4wd and low, sometimes pops outa 4wd or rides really rough, it clanks etc etc... Seems to be too much strain on the transfer case linkage even with the adapter, everything's all stretched. ...

Well I got the new bushes fitted but the truck is still making a terrible knocking sound and a squeek when it goes over bumps or it jolts.
