Re: 4wd vacum switch problem...
Hey all, Just adding my bit. I had a vaccum issue a few years ago where the truck was stuck in 4wd. Traced it all over 6 months and eventually figured out what was going on. The Vaccum system still works now and just install a switch and switches the pressure from suck to blow and it engages 4wd ...

Wanted fj40 parts
Hey all,
Looking for some cosmetic parts for my fj40. Looking for the pull handle for passenger door and also the toyota etc emblems for the exterior. Some people think it's a jeep sometimes and can't have that. Any help would be great. Can find the parts online from the US but won't ship down here.

It appears to be making a vaccum sound when switched but the knob is broken. I am now going to trace the piping to see if ...

Thanks for your suggestions. Tried them all except for transfer case removal but still stuck in 4wd. Just wondering if anyone has heard of a vaccum pump above the transfer case that allows the switch between 2 and 4wd? There appears to be a vaccum pump of some type when i examined the transfer. This ...

BJ 40 series stuck in 4WD
Hello all. Wondering does anyone know anything on the original setup on the transfer case on a 1980 bj 42 regarding 2wd to 4wd transfer? I am currently stuck in 4wd. I have heard of some reference to a transfer button on the dash?? Thanks
