As far as im aware you dont have to carry a spear wheel in a comp any more.

Re: Outlaw Class

After 5 years of compatition your average winch truck has been fully rebuit. If you stuff the chassis you normaly start from scratch put all the bits that arnt broken back on and remodify 90% of it to be more compatable As for price of you average winch truck (please be seated for this one) thay ...

Re: Outlaw Class

There are a lot of good idears and suport for somthing different BUT the reason behind most of the rules and bits and peices is to make insurance componies and osh happy. If there not happy who ever organises the comp is in deep doodoo if anything goes bad So I think if you base rules and regs from ...

Re: Outlaw Class

A short corse comp like trials but with a winch, run on time and penalized if you use the winch (like some of the Aussie comps). Low speed witch gets rid of a few safty factors (doors, windscreens etc), and you can compete in what ever (winch truck, trials truck, jafa's truck or mum's prado). All on ...

Re: Rotorua Winch Challenge 2009 (RWC 09)

No offence to anyone but "WOFs" for many of the comps past and present are a (bleep) joke. As i have a current WOF licence, I can tell you that even without doing a complete check on most of the vehicals that enter, they are not up to standard for road use. As for scrutineering, they should only ...

But I dont think she cant sell them till after it plays on tv in NZ. could be three to six months. Send him an email and he may put sum raw footage at the end like he did for last ...

Re: SYNTHETIC ROPE,WHICH IS BETTER ?

One big thing to remember is that some low mount winches have the breake inside the drum.
Not a problem if you free spool out or power out short distances, but long distances the drum gets hot enough to melt your rope :(
Not a good thing at the price, can be an expencive learning curve.

Re: Stolen safari MQ

No insurance, when you have as many wagons as i do you only insure the ones that you drive all the time and are worth something. It was all up to date with wof and rego though, sposed to be going on a run tonight in it!
Aprox value is about $1500 to $2000 and me suzi wont quite tow the boat :(
