Just hoping to pick the minds of some wiser than me - this morning the heater fan stopped blowing in the old girl - 1995 Vitara..... checked the fuse, but not that. Not real useful with the roar coming up and me wanting to disappear into the muddy bush Do they have some form of replaceable resistor ...

Looking for some info - pitman arm seal....
Hoping someone with some wisdom of experience can help me out. I'm onto my second steering box on the old vitara - same issue - leaking pitman arm seal. I got keen on the old box, and finally got the pitman arm off, and pulled the seal out. Seems pretty specific.... anyone know where I can get this ...

Yup couple of the boys were in over the weekend.
Little (ankle deep) snow.
They reckoned the overhang from the weighted down trees made it a little heavy going.

Re: Tubes??? Whats with that....
Not sure on size - other than them being 15" and rather narrow - real pizza cutters.
I've found a tyre guy who also 4x4's so I'm sorted - hes even sourced me some rims for a box of beer. Can't wait to see how they go.
Ended up using tubes.
Thanks for the help people.

Tubes??? Whats with that....
Hiya guys, I've acquired a set of 15" tractor tyres to wack onto some spare rims I have for the Vitara to get into some muddy bits in the farms. But the tyres say they are 'tube' type. I had a look on TM - but the sizes are crazy - I don't understand them. So a couple of questions please - how do I ...

Elec window switches - replacement
After mucking around with the standard window switches, and having been quoted too much for second hand replacements, I've done a pinout and rebuilt my drivers door console. Jaycar has some pretty good replacements..... all up I've spent just under $30 and have a reliable setup. Simple panel with a ...

Re: Headlight combo switch issues - or relay?
Hi Apm, I couldn't guarantee it, but would bet a biscuit that it would use the same relay for "ON" and "Flash", so I would definitely suspect the switch first. Not sure if the switch cluster is a sealed unit, but either way you can get some contact cleaner in a can, spray it inside the switch on ...

Headlight combo switch issues - or relay?
Evening all, Wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction, having bit of grief on the parents Vit/Escudo - highbeam does not work on headlights, but will work if you pull back to 'flash' highbeams. I've done a little reading and found it may be either a relay or the switch itself. Can't find ...

Back through over the weekend.
Would not suggest taking any longwheel base vehicles down the other side.
Its getting a little tight in places.
Cops were at the top with the search and rescue, and a helicopter down by the hut.
All good fun!

To part out or not...
Arvo all, we've recently aquired a lwb vitara.
Still road legal, other than warrant.
Only issue with it is that the auto will only select 1st & 2nd, and if you click overdrive button it hits neutral.
Any one with any ideas? Do you reckon its worth investigating, or part the vehicle out.
cheers
