Re: V6 fuel economy

Hi all, How bad are the v6 3.0 litre surfs on gas? I realise they are a big petrol and will eat a bit of juice, but about how much? Are there any problems with the v6 surf? Blair G'day mate - I have a 1990 surf manual - I get about 380km around town and between 450 - 480km on the open road. Tank of ...

thoughts on good mud tyres and a place to buy in Chch

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions of a good allround mud tyre thats not too bad for wear on the road. Also suggestions would be appreciated for a good tyre place in Christchurch which would also have some white-spoke rims

Hey Fella's When looking to purchase a truck with mod's already done by the current owner, is there any need to be dubious if he hasnt got it certified? Re: Yotas

Personally I would take the two litre petrol based on those 3. Those 3.0V6's are expensive to run, go great but you pay for the pleasure. The 2.0L looks tidy and well modified too. Cheers Yeah I would think you could start a small war with the money you put in per year - but I bike to work so ...

Get a leakdown and compression test done. Don't buy any diesel without doing this. I have even had it done for petrols. Tappet noise could just allude to them needing a tighten or more??? Body mounts are the rubber mounts that attach the body to the chassis, usually down each side about ten approx ...

Ok, lets look at the facts: a. You can only afford one vehicle. b. You want a dual-purpose vehicle for road and offroad use. This to me says that the vehicle will need to be: a. reliable (rules out 2.4TD surfs) b. comfortable (rules out any landrover prior to a Disco) So based on that, I think you ...
