Re: New truck LJ78

Also check your suspension bushes, your front panhard rod bushes might be worn. I have had this in the past with my Prado.

Also does your Prado have the electric shocks, these work OK if they are in good condition, however if they are stuffed I'd replace them.

These aren't a bad truck overall.

Re: 2LT-e Fuel Leak

I finally found the fuel leak. Looks as though it is coming from the small cover on the bottom of the pump, have indicated it in the photo. 2LT-e Fuel Leak

Hi I have a LJ78 with a 2LT-e and it has developed a fuel leak which I suspect is the fuel pump. I have done a search through the forum but could not find a lot of info. The truck has just done 200K so I am assuming that one of the seals have gone, the reason I suspect this is because if I don't ...

Front end making noises

Hi All

Recently my 91 Prado has started making noises from the front end when doing over 50 km/h, the problem is intermittant and seems to stop when I put the hubs in 4x4.

Any ideas as I would like to get it sorted instead of having to drive around with the hubs in all of the time.

Cheers guys!

Trucking making horrible sounds in the front

Ok my Prado has started making noises in the front end while in 2wd, it stops when the truck is in 4wd. It also gets hard to turn sometimes. Can anyone help me figure out whats going on. Could it be a stuffed CV or buggered hub as its got manual hubs on it.

Cheers guys :D

Re: Got myself an 85 swb Cruiser

Id go with a suspension lift rather than a body lift as body lifts need to be certed. Plus suspension lift will give you better flex, if possible get some adjustable shocks so you can soften them up when driving offroad and stiffen them up when on the road, that way you don't loose much of your on ...

Did you get any check engine lights or dash lights come up as you went through the water. My truck would do a similar thing when fording rivers/streams when the water was quite high up. Would be the buzzer the sounds when you leave glow plugs warming to long.

If you are happy with 7.30 Al thats fine with me.
