Re: rust repairs in chch

I used a guy on the corner of lichfield and fitzgerald street in a green building, I can't remeber his name though.
Charged me $200 to cut quite a bit of rust out and weld plates in. I was quoted about 400 from other people.

Lock right Locker Toyota Landcruiser

The locker out of my Landcruiser.

Was in the front and only got one trip in on it. So pretty much brand new with no wear marks.

Christchurch Riding

Anyone know the good spots to ride in and around christchurch on a dirt bike?
I'm looking for trial riding tracks.

I went to the waimak and that's pretty good on the north side. Went up about 40km from sh1.

Is there much else up there? How about the south side?

Thanks.

Re: 70 series cruiser noisy steering

I have a power steering leak and mine is noisy until the vehicle is warm, or sometimes when the steering under load. Maybe an obvious question, have you checked your power steering fluid level? I also run 33s on a bj70 and have found that my tires can rub at full lock, I think on the inside of my ...

Vehicle in Auckland

Can anybody recommend someone in Auckland to look at a vehicle I am looking at purchasing? I would like to get a compression and leak down test.

I also just want the general body looked over just to make sure there is nothing to major wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

Mark.

Landcruiser Lift

I am thinking about putting an 80mm spring lift in my landcruiser. Thought about going soa but it is now my daily driver. What are the pros and cons about resetting my old springs or getting new ones that are already lifted? Are the new springs slightly longer? Cheers.

Had the same problem on my bike and ended up being a wire lose on the back of the ignition. It would just disconnect and I would lose power. Good luck finding it.

I just had a look in my manual about installation of a cylinder head, there are 18 bolts to be tightened in a particular order at 118Nm and then another 9 at 18Nm. I might be able to scan this tomorrow if it helps any.

I just put a few m4 8.8 grade bolts in my shear pin. Its on a bj70. They seem to do the job nicely and I have broken a few without any major problems. I got 10 for $3.

Also try a double line pull as it places less stress on system. It halves the speed and doubles the Torque.

I dont know but I would be interested too. My snorkel caught on fire when one of the metal rings came loose and wore through some wiring. I am thinking about rotating my airbox in my truck and re welding the mounts to the body for the Airbox. So that the I only need about 200mm of pipe. Apart from ...

Im pretty sure a ct20 is off a 2L-T. The ct26 is off a turbo Landcruiser and the 3sgte engines and some supras. Will also fit a TC05 turbo with a four bolt flange. Heres the link

I dont think that it is that great of a price. I got my manifold for $40 off a wrecker and you can get rebuilt turbos off trademe for a reasonable price. It just took me a while to find a person with the manifold.

My mate has a nissan terrano the same shape as Albundys old one? Maybe a early 1990s. What is the best snorkel to get? The safari one is $600 and the airflow is apparently not in the country for his model? Cheers.
