i took the caps off today and there was one shim on the top and one on the bottom, so i took both of them out, no more movement in the wheels as far as im aware, although i guess some new bearings are on the cards.

Where do you guys get replacement shims?

i assume its irrellevant that i have auto locking hubs at the front? do all safari's have these at the front?

Can anyone give a quick run down of how to do this, ive got the same problem, jacked up the front wheels and there is movement in the hubs, doesnt virbrate very much but if i hit a bump on the motorway while going around a bend they can vibrate so violently that i have to slow down to 50kms before ...

changed the bloody oil and the sound has gone, who wouldve figured

put some penrite 140 in there, nice and thick

ok, i jacked the truck up today and gave the wheels a good shaking, and theres no movement at all, i know the nissan viscous diffs a notorious for losing their locking ability with age, so i wonder if any one else has noticed a noise coming from the diff, like a grinding vibrating noise as they turn ...

still after the passenger rear motor and regulator, also i need a drivers door regulator aswell :x

i heard the 24v motors work in 12v setups, but not the other way round
