Hi, my TD27 appears to get the oil feed to the turbo from a fitting on the front of the casting that the oil fiter screws on to, the drain goes into the block to the right of the oil filter mount (about the same height as the other fitting..)

Is It currently registered? (on hold?) Is it certified for the Toyota motor that is in it at the Mo? If you are planning big changes and are going to use the old Mindy on the road you'll need to get it certified.... Which might require $$$ to bring it up to standard... Would be a lot cheaper to ...

I should add that before I had the injectors overhauled 26mpg was about the best I could manage...I find selecting "hold" on the auto trans helps with the economy too, as it kicks down less frequently.
