I went from a 1600 3dr vitara to a v6 5dr and didnt really notice a difference in fuel costs for the same use, i was told before a got one that they were hungry but mines been good - its a manual though so maybe the autos are hungry ? Hi , there are 3 chains and 3 auto tensioners , if they are getting noisey you can run an oil flush through and replace with a good quailty oil ( 5w30 ) this can sometimes get the tensioners working better. as Iniel said they need good servicing and its quite involved to replace tensioners. Hi, Anyone know where i can buy some coil spacers for a vitara in NZ ? Would prefer to buy some than make some at the moment. I know a few people have made some sets in the past and sold some. :)

Hi guys , Just wanting some advise on how old babys/kids should be before taking them offroad ? i guess it depends on the enviroment, child car seats etc

When did you first take your kids out ???

Im in the same situation, i pay rental each month on a boc bottle that i use bugger all argosheild from, you can get the soda bottles and addapters from trademe but the are not cheap, m . You can get a co2 bottle from the fire guys who test and fill fire extinguishers. about $200 depending on size ...

The suzuki is a good small 4x4 option, i had a 1.6 vitara 3 door which was great offroad and now have a V6 h20a 5 door ( needed more family room) which has less ground clearence but is a lot nicer to drive and has a little bit more power . the v6 seems to be pretty good on gas not too different from ...

HI there, If its the H20a engine , I have some pictures of the very hard to find manual i could email you if it helps ?

Do you want internal timing chain marks or just igntion timing?

I put 30x9.5x15 RMT's on a standard 1990 vitara swb , it gave a useful amount more clearance under the wagon and only rubbed on the chassis at full lock. but yeah under body armour a good idea !
