Re: 1996-ish Surf Buying Advice
I would be looking at towing a boat ~16ft so will be fairly light. Certainly would want to get a leakdown - whats the going rate for this? Are the cracks fairly obvious or just hairlines? Are there any majors with the engine / drivetrain that I need to watch out for at this km? I would like the ...

1996-ish Surf Buying Advice
Hi All, Thinking about making a change from my Terrano 3.2DT towards a 3.0DT Surf (smart move you'll probably say!). As I am wanted something around 10K I would be looking at approximately a 1996 model with 130-160km. Is this a realistic budget to get something tidy? What are the major issues I ...

Re: 3.2 Terrano Boost
This may sound stupid but how do I actually tell what type of pump it is, I think the 2.7 has a rotary but not sure about the 3.2?. Yes it has an airflow meter - I would think the airflow meter could adjust fuel to compensate for an increase in boost (to a point) such as in a petrol.I would probably ...

Re: Monroe Reflex struts - Terrano
Hey Guys, I went for a set of Monroe Reflex in the end. Just got the shocks all round and left the springs factory. Handling has improved 100%, although after removing the shocks it was obvious how shattered they were. Its still got the "new shock" feel at the moment and i'm pretty happy so we'll ...

3.2 Terrano Boost
Hey Guys, Not sure whether this is right section to post this in. After doing a bit of reading through the forum I am interested in the boost of my 3.2DT Terrano. I have had a good google but you guys seems to be the best source of info! I have some questions: - What is the standard boost level on ...

Re: Monroe Reflex struts - Terrano
I am not looking at a lift at this stage as it would mean investing in the rear suspension too. However, I am going to have a good look at the springs this weekend because I think it is sagging ~ 30mm in the front . I have noticed alot of the terranos look as though they sit down in the front so I ...

Re: Monroe Reflex struts - Terrano
I have done a bit of ringing around and these are the prices I've come up with in Auckland: - Pedders struts $238 inc gst ea - Old Man Emu ~ $160 + gst ea - Monroe Gas Charge $440 + gst pair - Monroe Reflex I can get at about the same cost of the Old Man Emu Do these prices seem reasonable? I am ...

Re: Monroe Reflex struts - Terrano
I am open to all suggestions. The reason I am first looking at the Monroe Reflex's is that I have the opportunity to get them at trade. Of the top of anyones head, what sort of price could I expect for Old Man Emu or Grabriel front struts? Who stocks these brands in Auckland? I have heard alot more ...

Monroe Reflex struts - Terrano
Hi Guys, I have a 99 Terrano Regulus which has a leaking front strut. I am trying to weight up my options for replacement. I would like to improve the onroad handing as it rolls and dives considerably compared to say a Surf (obviously influenced by the strut). I realise that the Terrano naturally is ...

99 Terrano Towbar
Hi There,
I am after a towbar for my Terrano regulus (KD-JRR50). Does anyone know what the best options are in the Auckland area?.
Are there "bolt on" kits available? if so that is what I would prefer as I am happy to do the work myself.
Cheers,
Kim

Terrano Regulus rough idle (when in drive)
Hi There, Following up on previous issues I've had. I have a Terrano Regulus with the 3.2dt. When it is cold and idling, the car vibrates violently. The problem appear when sitting in D or R and with foot on the brake you can feel it trying quite hard to lurch forward to back The problem is most ...

I checked wire to glow plug rail and it seem fine. Unfortunately Ã've smashed my leg so wont be able to get under the bonnet to have geezer for a while As for fuel consumption, I get around 550-600km with atleast half open road driving, generally costs about $60 to fill from empty light I dont t ...

I have had the glow plugs out, all seem okay as they glow within a few seconds when put to a battery. I have also checked that they are getting power when starting up, I just put a light tester on the feed and it lit up. Are there any other tests to see whether the timer could be playing up? It took ...

Terrano starting problems
Hi There, I'm having some more issues with my terrano regulus. Occasionally it decides that it doesn't want to start, it will just keep cranking over. If i turn key off and try again it will crank for a while and then finally start, I am ensuring I warm the glow plugs up and everything. It never ...

Terrano Regulus idle
Hi, I have a Regulus with the QD32ETI. Currently when the car is cold and I am stopped in drive the car shudders, If I apply a slight bit of throttle and bring the revs up ~ 100prm its fine. Im wondering if there is anyway to adjust the idle up slightly? I had a hunt but confused myself as it uses ...
