Re: Blue Max Platinum bulbs

Pan Pacific don't seem to like dealing with people who aren't in the trade. I was told they're account only and not open to the public. In saying that though, they tried to be helpful with suggestions on where to go to get the parts I needed Ah! That's right, it is them that are "account required ...

Hi pete. Try Pan Pacific Auto Electronics Ltd. 322 St Asaph St. Ph 365 5058. They are suppliers to quite a number of sparkies in CHCH so they are probably your best bet if no one else has your bulbs that you are looking for.

Re: Starting my mods this weekend, a few questions please!

UH OH.... Where are the steering knuckles? I'm pretty sure you need those as the caliper is mounted in a different position between the different models. Extract from above mentioned post: Well firstly Alan I had the same problem with rims hitting the calipers, but this is simply rectified. You need ...

Re: Vitara wheel/tyre size

You have two problems with the 30"x9.5" tyres on 15"X7" rims cobber. Firstly, the 15" rims will not fit the front hubs as the rotors on the V6 models are larger than the 1600 models, because of this the caliper sits out further and the rim fouls up on it. Secondly, the 30" tyres rub on the back ...

Re: surf proportioning valve

On the back of the rear diff head there's a bolt which has a line going to the proportioning valve which is on the chassis. You should just be able to give the nuts a couple of turns and that should change it a bit. Wouldn't have thought you would need to adjust this on stock standard suspension ...

surf proportioning valve

Hi all, one of the guys at work was told by Mr WOF to adjust his proportioning valve on the brakes in his 1992 LN130 Hilux Surf. I havn't had a chance to look at it yet, but if I could get a heads up on where it is located on the vehicle and how to adjust it properly that would be great. Thanks all ...

Bellamy and East on Falsgrave St, under Jade Stadium, will sort your springs out. They can retension your old springs, add leaves or make a whole new set for you. They are pretty good to deal with.

Yeah I had to do it to the scud after its 3" suspension lift. Took it to our engineer at work, told him what I had to do. He had the Calmini Brackets modified within a couple of hours and they fitted perfectly. Havn't had an issue with CV's since.

You can't see it in those pics but the hooks don't protrude past the bar. they are a little bit behind. It has been up some pretty steep river banks and it hasn't been caught up on the bar at all. Apologise. Memory didn't serve me well there on that one. They do stick out a little bit. Still, we ...
