Re: weird Vibration

Tyres have been changed during the vibration, but are due to be replaced soon.

I do need to check gearbox mounts and engine mounts more thoroughly.

Now you can feel it as low as 20-30kph. When it is at the slower speeds it is more of a small wobble, and you can feel it throug...

Re: 94 Pajero front issues

I reckon its related to the disconnect on the front diff. Get someone with you to put it in and out of 4H into 2H while you climb under, pull the rubber boot off the actuator arm and make sure it is moving. At least pull the rubber hoses off and make sure they change vacuum as the other person move...

Re: V8 Land Rover project

I have done it so that the hot fuel form engine is returned to fuel tank, lifter pump pumps from tank to surge tank and EFI pump from surge tank, keeps the hot fuel out of the surge tank. Two reasons, hot fuel is less dense and because it helps to stop the vapourising issue too. That is what I have ...

I remember 'working' on this truck from when I was 8 to about 12.

So cool, I would love to own it, but I just can't get the funds together, so hope it goes to someone who appreciates it.

Re: result re stolen trucks ??

I reckon for all the hours put in by the police should be charged to the criminals, they do cost analysis already of operations, so would be hard to work out.

Good that all these long term operations are finally coming to good conclusions. Things take a while.

Re: 1989 Lada 'Fiva'

I was thinking of just having it switched by a switch on the dash anyway. as its easier than trying to work out the Lada wiring. New wires are better wires.

So its means then that I can then just have a switched 12V source for the ones that run off the ignition switch, which makes things simpler too.

Re: Best battery to fit in standard vit tray?

I would do a double battery setup, one big one in the boot and the standard one where it is normally.

Also if you haven't already, upgrade your alternator to help with the load and recharging.

I started to head down this route just before I sold my zuk.

Re: live body on dereg chassis

I rang up when I did mine, technically needs a cert. So you will need to prove ownership transferral of the de reg chassis etc to get cert.

I never ran into any problems though, No one gets under the truck to check chassis numbers, they usually just use the ID plate on the firewall
