Re: laser bore sighting tools

I asked the same thing on the hunting forum and got a resounding "waste of cash" response. So I never bought one. You can get the same accuracy by lining up the scope and looking down the bore at the same point. Then start at the range at 50m yep I only use this method on my guns ... usua...

WTB or swap .. 7.62x39 steel cases .. fired

Hi all,

Im after a quantity of fired berdan primed steel cases, any amount 5, 10 50 100 whatever, so if you have any fired cases lying around and you dont know what to do with them I will take them off your hands.

Also on the lookout for a small quantity once fired brass.

Re: 270 vs 7mm 08

Im *just* (when wet and 14 layers of clothes on) pushing 60kg, I find the recoil on my .270 Savage not too bad, the old shoulder hurts a bit after 20 or 30 rounds or so but for the average hunting trip the recoil isnt an issue, and the savage is light enough to hump around and still bring 40kg of me...

You really can't go wrong staring with a .22 evin if you get a high powered riffle in the future you will probably still use your .22 for bunnies and possums. yeah bunnies and magpies tend to vaporise when I hit them with my .270 for some reason  For goats I recommend the economic and easy...

Make sure you can shoot them and use the saftey correctly. just my thoughts on the safety, Never ever trust a safety on a loaded gun, if you use safe hunting practices you should not ever need to use the safety, in fact on certain types of guns the safety is a joke (thinking of the SKS here, no way...

i just have to rise in defense of the SKS here, there is a perpetual myth that the SKS will slam fire at the drop of a hat. THIS IS NOT TRUE.
