But it's not a LR !!!
I stopped by his boat the other day and he wasn't home, most likely "tramping" in the bush wishing he had a 4wd
Do you remember you guys going up hells bells? Pretty cool truck!!

im surprised you dont have him working on the surf yet lol He comes in climbs under and starts poking screw drivers into every nook! He loves it in the garage, I just don't love the stress of thinking he is going to get squashed every 5 seconds or dread the sound of the angle grinder starting up or...

Surf refresh
Started working on the surf again, it's been off the road 2-3 years. Replacing all the front IFS suspension bushes, new winch, new doors, new tailgate, retrofitting a wheel carrier on to the back of it and try to get a wof in the next month! Took the 2 year old up to rallywoods to check out the late...

Re: Pursuit of low mount winch happiness
Nice write up, I too have the freespool issue. I will pull mine and degrease it. One thing I did is put an external regulator on the alternator. Most internal ones are very conservative. They will only go to 14.4v if even that, and then hit 13.4/13.7 for float . At this voltage the alternator is onl...

The manual lockup is good. I just installed a switch into a wire (providing power) and it locks it up at the touch of a button. Just have to be careful not leaving it locked when stopping all of a sudden or slow speeds.

I use low range. You can climb under the truck and on the gear box around where the levers are is a couple of plugs. I just slipped one apart and that allows 2wd low range, the button has to be pressed to engage 4wd now. The plug allows automatic engagement of 4wd when it detects the low range selec...

Southerly 15 knots developing again Thursday morning, rising to 50 knots Thursday evening. Sea becoming high. Poor visibility in ra...

I have the intercooler already. Off the next gen engine to mine so almost a perfect fit. No doubt you have a prado one that fits perfect! Scoops are only like $30 so might as well keep it with yours to keep the seat. Someone else will want it now
Thanks for the offer though sig

Many have made it ...
