When installing the 3L you should replace the cambelt, water pump and tensioners. There's a couple of hundy spent there. It should bolt in by and large, although I believe you have to use the 2.4 Flywheel and clutch. I'm sure that was the case in Timotheus's rig. Other little things like thermostat ...

Hey fellas. I believe only the blizzards came out with the (2.4) 2LTs. In order to mate the engine to the Daihatsu box, a specific input shaft and presumably bell housing was made. There are plenty of Ruggers being wrecked, so a motor should be readily available. If you can't find a motor, say so ...

Got my winch mount repaired today. Winch is now re-installed. The damage was to the alloy mount and the spool/engage lever. http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/images/albums/Safangari-Pics/more_of_jizz_blizzard_006.sized.jpg My good friend Darian Jopson from Fabrication Solutions alloy welded up the ...

So last night tristanp (surely the horiest son bitch known to man by the way) and I addressed the innards of the jizz blizzard's gearbox, with the help of the service manual supplied by Jerry previously in this thread. Again, bloody awesome, thanks Jerry. Popping the top off gearbox (ie selector and ...

Thanks for the link Jerry that's bloody awesome. Ok. I took the gearbox out today. Looking over the service manual Jerry supplied, I'm sure I haven't forgotten anything. Not very bloody easy, the top 3 bolts of the bell housing were removed at about an 8th of a turn at a time with a crescent, it ...

Thanks for the tip with the pic, Smurf. I've hard the same about the whole Daihatsu thing, to tell the truth, I was kind of hoping the gearbox had some relation to those found in L powered hiluxes, so I could rob the PTO gear for a different truck down the track. That, and a mate is a toyota wrecker ...

Toyota Blizzard 2.4T Ownership & Light Mods Journal
As mentioned in Allmud's topic "blizzard", last week I picked up this weapon. http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/images/albums/Safangari-Pics/jizz_blizzard_016.sized.jpg Because there is sod all material on this model on ORE, I figured I'd document my ownership of this vehicle. My company, Student Cars ...

I spoke with the top bloke from the just cruisers side of things when I bought my HZJ75. Great guy, a real people person, took the time to have a yarn, (about ten minutes on the phone) and was generally very helpful, saving me quite a bit of coin. He even gave a little business advice. I couldn't ...
Yeah it sits on Cargill Street. Took it out last night at 8.30 for its maiden with Timotheus. I've swapped the 15" white spokes for 16 uglies with SATs which went well. Needs a new fairlead and winch repairs due to mismatch and subsequent damage. Sod all, but will need doing all the same. http://www ...

I bought one tonight. I was fanging through Southland with Timotheus, chasing LN106s when we spied it sitting on the side of the road in Edendale. Apparently it'd been there for 2-3 weeks. I'd seen it myself actually, but stopped to test tonight and brought it home. Will post pics tomorrow maybe? 2 ...

1HZ Engine number location
Anybody know where I can find the engine number on a 1HZ block?
I'm revinning a Landcruiser flatdeck, and have had a quick look, but couldn't locate.
Does anybody know before I call Toyota?
