Mate, I've been selling cars for 2 years as my own concern. If you want to shoot the breeze, give me a call or text. Personally, I wouldn't be doing it. Run it past your accountant, have a yarn to them, they may say its sweet as. But think of what it may look like to an auditor mate.

When installing the 3L you should replace the cambelt, water pump and tensioners. There's a couple of hundy spent there. It should bolt in by and large, although I believe you have to use the 2.4 Flywheel and clutch. I'm sure that was the case in Timotheus's rig. Other little things like thermostat ...

Hey fellas. I believe only the blizzards came out with the (2.4) 2LTs. In order to mate the engine to the Daihatsu box, a specific input shaft and presumably bell housing was made. There are plenty of Ruggers being wrecked, so a motor should be readily available. If you can't find a motor, say so ...

Plus, if you're taking the missus, your day is already ruined, so what's a little wind noise?

Thanks for the link Jerry that's bloody awesome. Ok. I took the gearbox out today. Looking over the service manual Jerry supplied, I'm sure I haven't forgotten anything. Thanks for the tip with the pic, Smurf. I've hard the same about the whole Daihatsu thing, to tell the truth, I was kind of hoping the gearbox had some relation to those found in L powered hiluxes, so I could rob the PTO gear for a different truck down the track. That, and a mate is a toyota wrecker ...

Anybody know where I can find the engine number on a 1HZ block?
I'm revinning a Landcruiser flatdeck, and have had a quick look, but couldn't locate.
