Yes they should straighten out when overloaded, just hope there is no shackle in the rope when they do! But notice the other one looks to be close to ripping out of the chassis also...... Could be a point for all of us to think about when fitting hooks, 1, add some extra metal and 2, Only use cap ...

Hmmm Late... We got back to taupo and got a tow home to toke, 5k past oruanui the tow vehicle broke the powersteering belt and that toasted ALL the belts , we then had to get a tow vehicle for the tow vehicle and a lift to tokoroa to get the A frame and my service truck, arrived there really late ...

Yes the little valve is for initial bleed and to pass small amounts of air, It wont help if you have an air lock from lifting your radiator higher than your filler cap unless you have a bleeder fitted to the top of the radiator, Some toyota thermostats are also faulty from the box and i have seen ...

every now and then under hard driving ,the temp would spike and go real hot before the thermostat would let coolant bye , thinkn i might get a cooler one as thety are rated at 88c Bit of an old post now but... Yeah i got one going to the tip soon, its free if you come grab it. Some rust but patchable, front and rear windows but no door windows from memory.. Early 80's style cab not the 84 on shape. Cant think of the model number!
