If my research indicates that the ideal size intercooler is say a 400mmx300mmx75mm or a size that can not be easily installed under the bonnet then I will probably mount it externally between the bull bar and grill. but I will also look for other suitable locations to mount it or maybe use two small ...

Ok, it looks like a 3" dump pipe and a 2&1/2" system with a 14" straight thru muffler may be the go? according to the local exhaust bloke this will be the best set-up if I run 14psi boost.

yep $ are an issue. an 80 series I would love but redgo, fuel and price of cruiser will stop me from getting one. What if I keep the weight down to 2 x adults & trailer & food & beer = approx 600kg of weight. do you think it will handle it?
