thanks a lot lax2wlg for your input. Yeah definately bump steer my sasd bighorn with 200mm lift had less haha. Good to know what bushings to start with can see tons of movement in tension ones watching mrs hit brakes driving into garage so that would probably explain why im noticing worse handling ...

put my adjusters in a few weeks ago cant see me braking anything anytime soon thats for sure think theyr great! Got a wheel alignment on it and drives ok on smooth roads but driving on bumpy country roads at 100k.... well you cant!! I really didnt feel safe going over 80 and thing pulls all over the ...

think i may have missed the boat on these links just wondering if any more are going to get made as im about to do 2wd steering mod no point me having to get my existing adjusters tapped out when these can be used. also will it clear my 91 terrano sway bar?-- and would i be correct in saying one ...

great trip thanks Quesi had a chat to the guy who fixed the coon the next day and he was saying it used to be an old gold mine up there. Apparently that track heads down into the valley to what used to be a lodge which isnt there any more slip wiped it out or something. but yeah you can drive round ...

were heading to the coast and mt greenland was def on my to do list but unsure how the zuk will go as its only on sats which are more like 31s i spoze but lockers all round winch etc but definately keen to go with someone else idealy the 29th would suit us good

pulled diff head out of my front lux diff. Discovered it was running out of teeth :( anyone with a spare 4.5 ratio? only the crown wheel is shot rest seems to be sweet

Hilux LN106 solid axle 4.5 ratio crown wheel needed

Im after a 4.5 ratio crown wheel out of a 96 ln106 hilux. Its running rather low on teeth :( . rest of diff appears to be ok. However if whole diff head isnt too dear I could replace whole thing.

Can arange pick up from nth island in next couple of days if needed

thats interesting wonder if they are a bit more robust. I have a funny feeling that even with my oil level slightly over full it maybe isnt getting enough oil when climbing steep stuff. does anyone know where the oil pickup is or think this is maybe an issue?

My $800 turbo lasted under 10,000kms (2 yrs mostly offroad toy) and is totalled cant rebuild it so wanting one i can rebuild! The RHB5 off early 2.8 isuzus can be rebuilt Im told so ideally after one of these but if not something else thats cheap would be great.

yeah they will be going on my sasd bighorn 200mm or so lift and 33s just dont get the diffs up high enough and look far too small anyway

Bighorn just passed cert. Thanks to everyone on here who gave advice. A terrano rear sway bar fits perfectly and eliminates all body roll and flex so making up some disconnects now. Yes it certainly did have siezed callipers threw them away and got new callipers and pads before i drove it anywhere. So yeah was too lazy to get disks skimmed just hit with sanding disc which hasnt removed pitting so pretty sure if i get them machined or just buy new ones or good cond 2nd hand ones ...

Mr Cert man if your reading, I would never think of doing something like that I can probably score a sway bar for next to nothing and am hoping a panhard rod will fix bump steer. Disks are badly pitted where the brake pads had rusted away on it for years so think a good skim will stop the shudder ...

you need the ask cert man what he needs to be done for him to sign it off you then have to achieve this ... this is not about what you or anyone else thinks .. its about what he thinks and if you cannot apease him .. simply put you wont get a cert .. have you asked the cert guy how he would fix ...
