got new gearbox and transfer case in and what a difference!! i can actually talk to my passenger now without competing with a high pitched whine. and i dont have to wrestle with the gearstick to get her in and out of 4WD, cheers jason.

Top man, if you could PM me with a price that would be great thanks. i need to replace transfer but cost depending id replace the gearbox too. are the transfers interchangeable between 40 series cruisers?

Had decided to keep engine as is for now to try save money as am thinking of shifting. Then just my luck the transfercase shit itself, do i need a specific one to replace it or are the 40 series ones much the same? Just a side thought does anyone know how hard th H series 4 speeds are to come by ...

think im going to do powersteer while im at it. been offered an electric powersteer pump out of a MR2 that a mate had in his hilux for $300. are these any good?? good price or not?

would this bellhousing bolt up to a 5 Speed cruiser box? not sure what out of yet just know i wanto get rid of the 4 speed i have.

was opting for the lexus so i could use a cruiser gearbox and therefore keep my pto winch and also had a mate of a mate who could wire it into the 45s loom for me (apparently done a couple before). What are your reasons for preffering the 350??

yea callipers same as ones on the right. would spacers put a significant amount of strain on my hub bearings? or in saying that it would be the same as offset rims wouldnt it?

talked to previous owner and he reckons theyre cruiser callipers. i see on the SNR website that you can get spacers up to 3" wide, are these road legal?

used on the road to so will need to pass a WOF. local rural garage anyway which im sure would overlook spacers, im more concerned about the spacers being a week point. they dont hit the calipers by a lot but enough to make me want to do something about it. unsure of rim make they just look like ...

cheers. have started thinking that maybe a new motor and box will be easier than pissing around trying to get a 5 speed to fit mine. read somewhere that the 3B has more power than the H engine? if so would this transplant be worth it?

still looking for a 5 speed box for the cruiser.is it the lenght of the bell housing that is different between the two 60 deries gearboxes that you were talking about ClassicCruiserSpares? if so wud it be possible to keep the existing bellhousing? or has Toyota not made it that simple. found this on ...
