Cheers for the info steve, Looks like crossover steering is the way to go!I checked out the SNR website-seems bloody expensive,might have to save up for a while or look for a cheaper option! The old lux does wander a bit on the road,especially with 12.5' tyres,so anything to help that would be good ...

cheers for the info guys ,Shes all fixed now! My boss gave me a hand welding it up-big job,took 3 hours all up. Much better welds now than original ones.they must have been cracked for a while-there was a bit of rust in places where it let go!Had trouble getting the torque rod back in,I had it ...

Help,Broken Hilux torque rod!

I just broke my torque rod-connecting the chassis to the top of the front diff The welds on the bracket where it meets the diff have broken! does anyone have any advice on how dangerous it is to drive it like that-weather i can drive it to a garage or should trailer it there? It feels very loose ...

Cant find the receipt,but i think about $100 for a non Toyota one from 4wd upgrades,made a big difference re vibration!

Cheers for the ideas guys, Nice try Steve,I have considered disposing of it!Was looking at replacing it with a cruiser or safari,but I like the old lux-cheap to run,maybee not that cheap to maintain if you take advice from Toyota tho! I will try spacing the centre bearing-makes sense,check the wheel ...
