Re: early escudos

They're awesome we trucks. Mate just sold his 89 carbed vitara that he had for 10 years and the only big problem he had was breaking a diff mount on the front one. Picked up a new front diff for $120 so not that bad. Also the carbed ones are abit more reliable than the newer EFI ones like I have ...

I don't know why lifting it would have done much. If the cv shaft is spinning but not the wheel it most likely will be a hub problem. Do you still have the stock auto hubs on? They're known for giving up after a while.

I went down their with the family last year. About 15mins out of reefton there is a public camping spot. Tons of room for a group of 4wds. Can't remember what it's called tho. It's got a nice river running past it

Fitting rock sliders?

Have started making rock sliders for the escudo. Just wanted to know how you guys have attached your's. Would prefer a bolt up system as my welding is pretty shabby. Cheers, Mike

One way to fix the camber is to file the top bolt holes on your front shocks in (towards the engine) You can get a wheel alingment *spelling but if you want to do it on the cheap thats the way to go.

Need to make up some for the front though coz there's only about 10mm of droop now. Hopefully be putting the extractors on during the week (Crack exaust manifold ...

Still having problems with the clutch... It seems to be okay when I first start but then it craps out again after 10 or so minutes of road driving. Should I try and get those two bigger bolts off so that plate can completely come off or should I just take it to a shop?

Thanks lilpigzuk, helped alot. Undid the two 10mm bolts but couldn't completely get the plate off as there was another, bigger bolt holding it in too. But was enough to get the hose in and give it abit of a clean up.
