Re: 1HDT Crankshaft wanted
Ive got this sitting in wellington It was rebuilt twice (poorly by a engine re conditioner in Wellington) then started excessively smoking at 130,000 km so it got pulled and replaced with a 24 Valve. 1HDT Crankshaft wanted
My 1HDT has run a big end bearing and my crank is no good for the rebuild, so I'm looking for a replacement.
Would consider one that needs regrinding if anyone has one kicking round or knows of someone that might have one.

Re: Moving front diff forward for 32s
:D Thats awesome to know Ben. Have you cut/ bashed anything in the guard? or just the usual seam bashing? No cutting or seam bashing. I'm SPOA with a 2" body lift, but the springs are well used stock springs that are flat to inverted, so its not as high as you'd think. It measures 550mm from axle ...

Re: Moving front diff forward for 32s
I have moved my front diff forward 20mm. My 32x10.5 Simex's occasionally just touch the firewall and just kiss the headlight bucket at full flex and max compression, so I'd call it pretty centred in the wheel arch.

Re: Won't turn off
I'd say you wired the "ignition on" signal for the ecu to permanent power as a first guess. And we have a winner Whereabouts should it go? Coil fuse? As per Kernels suggestion, It should go to the "ignition on" wire at the ignition key. From memory I think it is black with a blue trace, but make ...

Shouldn't be the alternator as you should still be using the 413 loom for the charging circuit.

Re: Engine won't start
When you say you have ignition signal, what do you mean? Have you wired the tacho in? Try this: Disconnect the start wire from the starter motor. Turn the key to the on position. The fuel pump should start briefly for about 1 second and then stop. Turn the key to the start position and hold it there ...

Just another example of how restrictive and ridiculous some of the NI rules are. 4x4 challenges consider themselves to be rather righteous in this regard. You can get them certified, just need to have the right certifier who truly understands. Have you ever read the NI rules? All they say is the ...

Re: Whats the deal with modding a aircon to be a air compressor?
On board air is pretty nice. I have it on my zuk, but I used a Sanden compressor. The stock Suzuki pump is a vane pump and will probably sh*t itself pretty quickly unless you install oilers and de-oilers and all that junk. The sanden pump has an internal sump which you can fill with grease to keep ...

Re: Escudo to sj413, what fits?
Yep, your list sounds pretty good, just one thing to add. Keep the speedo cluster out of the Vit - you will need the vehicle speed sensor (VSS), although being an 8V it may not have one. Best to keep it anyway till you know for sure. You can put the Vit p/s on if you drill new holes in the chassis ...

As Cleary said - I make adaptor kits for fit the 1600 up to the 1300 box and engine mounts if you need one. You need to get all the loom out. The engine loom is integrated with the main loom. You will need to strip all the tape off and cut out the un-needed stuff like lights and heater etc. I ...

Disconnect the start wire from the starter motor (the little one) and crank the key round to the start position. You should be able to hear the fuel pump running continuously while you hold the key on. You should also be able to hear the fuel going through the fuel line at the pressure regulator ...

But beware its a 350 MB download.

Re: Idol picks up 2g when lights turned on ! sj413
On 413 and samurai carbs there is an idle up vaccum diaphram which increases the idle when you switch on an electrical load like lights, fan or rear demist. Its a small can shaped unit on the side of the carb, which cracks the throttle open a little when vacuum is applied to it. There is a electric ...
