i was in same spot as you. i have a 92 swb, and i just took both out, i found it was a bit more rolly on the road. and it flexs better of road

damn that woodhill park looks good, everyone seems to be sending in pics from woodhill. i gota get there. Someone should set up a newby day. its the factory one that came on truck from new, Ive been told tey are rated to 1500KGS they arnt that good snaped the cable in the weekend

we done tae starter motor trick many times when u cant get a rattle gun in place (and i work in a workshop) just remember to use a good single hex socket and good power bar. and to tourqe it back up remove the starer motor and lock the fly wheel with a good pry bar or an old bent valve

just remember it doesnt take much to roll on some tracks , ive seen a 4WD on its side (didn't know the people) and they had 3 kids in the back, we helped them out and get 4WD on its wheels, after seeing that I'd never take young kids out

i had a custermers surf same thing sometimes it would select 4wd but pop out and sometimes wouldn't select it, it came down to a broken wire between '4wd button' and relay (witch is by the clutch pedal)
