FJ70 alternator recon?
So I am trying to do some cheapo short to mid term repairs on my Cruiser while I am out of work and I seem to be in need of some alternator repairs. So the question is are there any alternators that share parts with a FJ70 one? Or are just completely compatable as is?

Righty oh, The question I would like to pose is what qualifies as structural rust? Im assuming rust around hinges, on the chassis and the like would qualify but what other spots classify to be "structural"? How do able is this FJ70 3F idea...
What Im wondering is how much different the 3f and the 3F-E engines are? Would it be possible to convert a 3F into a 3F-E with the right parts or is it possible to bolt a 3F-E directly into an Fj70? The next question would be is there any advantage to doing such a thing... ie improved power or fuel ...

Does this make sense to ...

Hi there, I have a compressor tank and compressor for sale/swap that will at least fit onto a 3F engine but the compressor should mount onto most trucks with the right room in the engine bay. Re: FJ70 1986 Landcruiser Distributor Rotor
I needed the new rotor because the old one shattered into a million pieces for some unknown reason. Now that Ive replaced it Ive moved on to the next few options such as checking the coil and points.
What will be the best way to distinguish wether I have a coil problem and or a condensor problem?
