Hi all. Mackaz the name. Just "acquired" my first 4WD (and diesel) 90 Toyota Surf 2.4 t/d 5 speed. Price will make some people spew equivalent to $60!!! reg and wof just run out on the 5th month so sweeeet!!!! I used to race Stockcars up until recently but it got too expensive....... sold the car ...

Pioneer Auto parts http://www.pap.co.nz or Repco can help. Rover 3.5s are an old stockcar favorite.... a bit old hat now with the inclusion of the 4.0l Ford and 3.8 Holden. Need to spend megabucks on one of those puppies to get even near performance of the ford or holden. One advantage is the weight though.....

Took the Hilux in for a wof today....remember I paid $60 for it..... failed on a loose right hand hub nut and both top ball joints......ripper.....fixed in about 40 minutes......took back now got a Hilux thats got a wof, up to date rego, and threw another 1000ks at it for good measure. Had a tutu today and yes, one water pump that is leaking! Replaced the pump, removed all the air con rubbish (the condensor had a hole in it so no gas to worry about) and chucked a new cambelt on it, all the while learning that if you dont get the timing marks spot on that it dont go! Well, took possession of the truck and drove it home... it goes pretty good actually. Solved the not turning off issue was a faulty turbo timer stuffed up under the dash!. Its got pretty tall rubber on it so might go down a size and might give it a bit better gearing, feels too tall in the gearing ...
