Re: Maybe moving from Aus to NZ and want to bring my truck
I'll be interested to see how you get on and the costs associated with it is. Ive been thinking about moving back home to NZ in the near future and would love to take my Mazda Bravo (Bounty) with me, but im guessing compliance costs etc may make it not worth it. The thing I've been paying careful ...

http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/8461/oqo6.jpg I recognise that tree. So many memories, I hit it with my Surf, my Terrano, and the old man's Suzuki many times, just a few km's from my parents old farm, the photo doesnt do that hill justice as to how steep it is. That second track, is that the one ...

Re: Ironman lift kits are they any good?
I brought my old Terrano off the guys at Brown and Cope Dunedin, who had kitted it out with all Ironman suspension and gear and used and abused it as a promo vehicle for Ironman. So who really knows the life it had before I got it, but I never had any problems with it and I cant fault Ironman ...

Re: 92 D21 Terrano Trans oil cooler
On my ol' Terrano I used to get real bad heat coming up into the truck from round the hand brake - figured it was the gearbox, so all I did was pull out the factory trans cooler that sits infront of the radiator and fit a new bigger 1 that was the size of an A4 peice of paper it costed $80 from ...

Re: Buying a Pejero, high kms?
Im currently looking at 4x4s in Australia as I'm moving there in 4 weeks. Ive seen alot of Pajeros over there both the 3L and 3.5L V6's that have done 280,000+ kms. Saw one that had done 420,000kms the other day. So personally I am now starting to think off 220,000kms as low kms. I think really it ...

Looks like a nice and tidy job, but how do you plan on topping up the oil??
Also have you had a chance to see what difference its makes???
I was starting to look into doing the same on my Terrano, But a change of plans have seen me sell the truck instead.

My biggest advice is make sure you get the turbo, I have a 2.7 turbo auto and my mates got a 2.7 non turbo manual and you really notice the difference, here in Dunedin we have the Kilmore (massive hill like the bomb bays) I can fly up it at around 80-90km/h, I was driving my mates non turbo the ...

If you want a good map of the area to help you keep on the right track, give Les Allen a visit in the map shop downstairs at Lands and Survey - 18 Reyburn St, just by the roundabout at Beaurepaires. Pretty much nothing up there, Most paper roads I know off up there just go across farm paddocks and dont have much of a challenge. Im just finnishing off my Surveying degree, and there has been many discussing in a few of my papers over unformed roads and the legal use of them for recreation. What state is the alternator in and how much do you want for it?
If the bearings are sweet and not full off mud, I would be keen on it, as mines on its final legs at the moment.

On my Escudo the intake sits just behind the passanger side indicator under the bonnet. My rule of thumb if I can keep that indicator dry i do it.
