suspension mods
I'm looking for some suspension mods that will give me that bit more travel but not so much wallet pain. I've lost the back of the wagon to loose some wieght of the arse but the rear control arms seem to be the major restriction. Anyone changed this setup for the better.

Anyone know of a good fuel filter system for V8s. The standard paper ones seem to fail quickly these days,( prob crap fuel) so I'm after a good high flow set up. Heres a few pics of the power plant after rebuild. http://www2.propichosting.com/Images/421616942/10.jpg http://www2.propichosting.com ...

I've got a few ideas but its all for models up to 86.The evaporative loss control system has a bottle style canister but it has 3 lines connected. Cannister to feul tank, cannister purge line, carburetter vent pipe. Again with up to 86.EFI has a habit of being very interwoven. Any vacum line will be ...

I think that hose should be connected to your carbys. It sounds like the main vacum from the heads to the carbys/intake manifold. I could be wrong but from experience if it is dissconnected the engine runs but it wont adjust the vacum in the intake manifold to compensate the pressure build up in the ...

Well I ended up with a 302 windsor, stage three cam, high flow extractors, torqure manifold and some other bits. It went well but you could feel the weight on the front axel and this ment that sand work was hard due to digging in. So the alloy 5 was dug out and the repairs started. Now the heads are ...

block sleave movement
I have just taken the heads off of the p76 to get them worked and noticed that on number 7 piston the sleave is sitting about 1-2mm high than the block. Any chance I can belt it back down with a big hammer or is it a $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ problem. The block has been bored out to 5.0 using 4.6 pistons and ...

Newbie ute conversion.
Hi all I've been absent for a while and now I'm currently trying to do a well body ute conversion to my 78 2 door. The small prob I'm having is developing a rear wall. Anyone now of any kits or have past experience.

It was definatly a toughened safety glass. This is the reason they were banned. More injurys accured due to the glass shattering than the acutual accident. You are right about the speed of the rock which is adiquate to that of a bullet so it is understanding that the screen shattered. Make sure that ...

To laugh or not to laugh , that is the question. Ok answer 1. It is illegal to put film (tint) on your windscreen. Answer 2. The question begs what car were you driving? As of 1985 all windscreens were laminated. Unless you drive an imported car. So unless you got a screen fitted in some backyard ...

Fitting a 350 chev to your rangie.
As the 5ltr died a while back and the repair quotes just keep getting bigger I was wondering what the hassles are with dropping a 350 chev in. IE, what gear box, manual or alternate auto? Engine mounts that kind of stuff.
Any info would be great thanks

Sorry DJ but for the same year of biuld to have allround disc brakes, coil suspension and air con rngies win hands down The only prob is the parts but its amazing how many parts will fit . But when all sed and down cruisers do have the majority vote and are a bit cheaper to fix and modify just a bit.
