Lada Brakes dragging

Anybody got any suggestions on this I've bypassed the load compensator valve, put in a new master cylinder but I still seem to be getting too much residual line pressure that is sufficient to cause all four brakes to drag badly. Bloody annoying and it's got me scratching my head. :? .

Re: Gen 2 Beastie Mods

Poor little 56 died a couple of months back. I have been told by one who knows Pajs, that the 4 cyl 2.6 petrol is a real good repower, so for the last few months I've keeping a weather eye out and lo and behold finally one has turned up for a reasonable price. May be a bit of pissing about because i...

Re: 13th & 14th June

Fixed the fuel issue on the Paj and while I was there, tweaked the pump a little. Did a bit of fencing to give the pigs a bit more space. G-Wagen motor out ready to get slushbox and turbo added. Auto is about 50 mm longer than the manual which means more money tossed the way of Beatties to shorten t...

Re: Gen 2 Beastie Mods

Don't know how I missed this but anyway - it doesn't kick it out at 5km - once it's in, it'll stay in but it won't go in until you are going v slow. Yea I figured that out after I posted but couldn't be buggered editing! :D How is the conversion going? All in place, had a minor hiccup in that the s...

Re: Gen 2 Beastie Mods

Yes it does require pressure to hold it in, but the pump has the pressure switch on it so for your application if you are not worried about it looking factory etc, I'd just put a switch onto the pump and not worry about the pulse relay factory swicth and the ECU. All the ECU does is stop it from go...

Re: Gen 2 Beastie Mods

Finally scored a rear locker diff after much patience and keeping a weather eye on trademe. http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll140/pajorick/529_locker.jpg 5.29:1 ratio which is a bonus given the 4D56's neck snapping power! ;) It'll all go in this week just not sure about the wiring and such for th...

You thinking about the MT 117???? Thats what i run and they are awesome for the terrain we have up here. Man do they move some dirt though, just ask ya old man  The term "trencher" came to mind, don't go near sand or pumice though, half turn wheelspin and you'd be sitting on yer axle...

Why wont they let you old time soldiers in to play in the dirt and tussock? The navy lets us old salts have as much time on the sea we like. Probably because the bloody Tankies and Gunners leave big unexploded bangy things lying about all over the place. Re: Hot Water Cylinder Wanted

Yup, you read right. We're after a low pressure stainless cylinder with wetback fittings. It's no drama if the element doesn't work any more as there is no power anyway. Size is of no real concern either, although an industrial size one would probably not fit in the small hut. It really does need t...
