is the fuel filter done the same as a petrol?, i for some reason was thinking it could be a bit tricker being diesel??

Just one question, im about to service my truck, ive done heaps of petrol cars before, but not a deisel 4x4, is there any difference to it, appart from the extra costs for parts. ie same old thing for oil, undo the cap, undo the bung, unscrew the oil filter, drain, fit new filter, screw bung back in ...

lloking at an upgrade

at the moment ive got a terrano and im looking at upgrading to something a little more off road.

at the moment, im looking at getting a series 2 discovery, can anyone tell me how these go? are they expensive for parts etc. any help is very welcomed.

Terrano rear lights

hello all, just wondering if someone can explain how to take the rear left lamps of a 93 terrano. i smashed the indicator, but have seen on trade me, lights for $30.00. not bad i thinks.

thanks for that, unfortunately its the rear seal, rang adventure 4x4 and they said around 550 plus gst to do it, doesnt sound to bad

Hello, ive got a oil leak on my 93 terrano, 2.7. ive got a feeling its coming from the crank seal, its only leaking very slowly and i cant really be bothered pullnig the engine out, plus i dont really have the experience to do so. if i just leave it and keep an eye on it and always ensure theres ...

i wouldnt worry to much about it, there just trying to get more out of the finance company.

having said that, i wouldnt let them drive away with the truck untill the cheque is cleared and in your bank.

yeah ive done the air, fuel and oil filter, the tank i think is a 80L. i guess i just need to slap a "how's my carbon footprint" sticker on my bumber. lol

My 93 2.7TD Terrano, chugs out quite a bit of black smoke on accleration and so far i estimate a full tank is only getting me around 450km around town + a bit of 4x4 as well. im thinking it should prob do a little more than that?? what i think is wrong - to my fuel being injected in??? whats your ...

cheers for the info, seems like the starter motor is screwed. gave it a little bang and she started up again.

another thing, i see they have two batteries, are the terrano's 24v or 12v?? is the extra bat for the likes of a winch etc

cheers, can anyone tell me how much the 2.7 petrols really drink?? a friend of mine had a jeep 4lt petrol and i know that drunk like a fish, but in saying that, that was a 4lt straight 6, whereas the surf is a 2.7 4cyl
