Re: turbo options for safaris
Considering doing the same .What turbo did you use? How much? And what did your mate fab the manifold with? I was thinking of using Black But Weld pipe fittings and hand gas cut flanges .Mill the faces at local MC shop.Get friendly diesel shop to match pump and tune. Fab up a 3'' pipe with expansion ...

Re: thoughts on the 1KZ-TE ?
Sound as if ,from what you're saying, that the best bet is to get right into it like Icedjonno and rebuild the inlet manifold, completely doing away with the whole thing. But I still wonder what that does to the engine management when its not geting a signal from a piece of the induction/exhaust ...

Re: TD42T questions
Yeah but which V8 diesel boy? How about a nice new 4.5L toyo turbo diesel? Ha Ha. I have a similar dilema.(most distressing) Turbo upgrade to non turbo TD42 with all associated costs or sell good diesel for how much?, and put it into superior engine swap .Prefer to stay diesel.

Re: thoughts on the 1KZ-TE ?
O.K. so I'm thinking a small blanking plate at the ex manifold is the next easiest option. Or is it better to go between the valve and the inlet manifold? After these what else ? I'm going to have a cooler ,cleaner intake charge with better economy/performance just like that with no downsides?

Re: thoughts on the 1KZ-TE ?
comin in late on this one, but would just isolating the vac hoses on the EGR valve prevent the valve from opening and therefore remain shut? This would require less fidling as the back of that valve is quite hidden. John you've obviously had a good look in there? Didn't you weld your inlet manifold ...

rear axle link bars on lifted truck
I faced the same problem when I bought a jap import swb. I haven't figered it yet (maybe someone can tell me?)but I think about 3" lift. There's roughly 6 1/2" between 31"tyre and bottom edge of flare. Anyway I reduced my vibes by making my top arms adjustable. I shortened the tops forcing the ...
