yea it does make sense, since it wont have any effect on the road. Might have a talk to the cert man and see what he says.

Re: Solid Axle Hilux Front Driveshaft Wanted
I would doubt i'd get a cert and wofs with a square front driveshaft. As far as im aware they're not road legal.
Last wof i went for i didn't have a front d/s in and i was failed.

the title says "Polyurethane" lift blocks, this stuff isn't rubbery its more like a tuff plastic, mine were made from this stuff, I bought a kit off steve but you can make your own easy enough.

Yea i'm pretty sure most compressors have cast iron cylinders, and id imagine there wouldn't be many tanks made of cast iron, they'd weigh a ton

Re: Sanden Air Compressor
we have 1 of the 5 gallon ones at work and to be honest its as useless as tits on a bull. About all it gets used for is an air gun to dust something off, even then it runs out real quick and it hardly ever gets used. The 11 gallon 1 that I have would be better but I think you'd be lucky to pump up ...

Re: Rim width and certification.
Im just wondering how picky different certifiers may be, someone mentioned somewhere that if a rim isn't inside the tyre manufacturers specs you wont get a cert. I'm looking at getting 33x12.50 or 35x12.50 MTRs, and their specs say 8.5 - 11inch rims, so that would mean you could be failed if you had ...

How much did the 4inch susp lift set you back and where did you get it from? Is it susp only or is it body as well?

EFS 2 inch Suspension Kit
Has anyone used this or any EFS shocks etc before? Looking at doing a 2" susp lift soon and stumbled accross these: http://www.superiorengineering.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=10_24_44&products_id=2852 Thought that was a fairly good price, considering the uprated torsion bars are worth $300AU alone ...

Re: steering spacer (body lift)
Had a wee play and it looks like it should be alright, although im a bit paranoid, last thing i want is to lose my steering at 100ks or something I've actually already been in contact with him about it, but not too sure whether I actually need one, you can have a look when I bring it in and see what ...

Re: steering spacer (body lift)
ok thanks for that steve, i'll have a better look at the uj in the cab tomorrow, ran outta time today but looked like there wasn't much to play with there either.
Only other problem is the gear lever, pretty tight to get into 5th or reverse, will that sort itself out with the lifted crossmember?

Just wondering which part of the steering shaft i need to swap for the longer shaft, have just done a body lift and mine is also too short. Would a steering shaft from a solid axle LN65 do the trick?

Re: Cert for gearbox swap?
I had that same problem, took me 8 months to find a manual one being wrecked altough it was a manual 2ltr v6 galant, how many manual 2.5 v6's have you ever seen, probably none, they never made them
.
My point is if you wanna do it enough look, look and you shall find.
