FYI, you can't install HID globes into lamps designed for incandescent globes, the beam pattern gets shot to hell - it's pretty hit and miss whether you'll find the results satisfactory or not. ahh bugger. Has anyone else tried this ? I see H4 et al HID conversion kits on TM - are these bogus ? S

badass spotlights - where ?

Sup, Where can I find a new pair of seriously large spotlights for my shiny Surf ? I want them for road use, to illuminate widely rather than for great distance (Surfs aint that fast). I'll set up some HID bulbs for them. Badddasssss. Any suggestions ? Theres little or nothing on TM. TIA, S

it'll cost a lot more than 500bux if I have to tow it to wellington from the bay of plenty. This type of thinking isn't going to work. If someone figures out how to wire up a 1kz-te engine then the trick is to document it somewhere. Have you guys thought of having a wiki to document all this sort of ...

[...] and ditched the efi and the pump was made mechanical and then its very simple and i like to have control over fuel psi opposed to an ecm and resistors. is this documented anywhere ? I am tempted to do this conversion also, but I have no idea how to successfully disconnect the EFI so the ...

ok I got some firestone Destination H/T's fitted and they seem very light, quiet, and smooth. $240 each F&B incl GST. Lots more traction on the tarseal compared to the old baldies that wheelspun everywhere. I'll try them on the grass and sand, and open road next week.

Hiya thanks Fitz. Yeah my hatred for cheap road tyres know no bounds, AND they last for ages so I get to hate them for years.. nice.. Wobbly slippy pos. :growl: I pretty much figured that would be the case with my "shiney". Same applies with my families' shiney jetboat I took up the rapids and ...

introduction and tyre pricing

Greetings, I have a '95 Surf SSR-G which I'm not game to put into the bush yet.. it's still shiney.. Ok I need tyres for this ride.. 99% on-road, 1% mild off-road work so I'm thinking nice and quiet Pirelli Michelin etc.. Anyone got any contacts for a real steal deal ? 265/70R16 many thanks, Steve
