Replaced the passengers side Axle at the weekend with the Challenger axle from mrplane. The CVs themselves are a fair bit smaller and it is now leaking diff oil too. There is a difference in the cups (the green bit) in that the challenger one does not have the lips on it that the pajero one had. The ...

Wheel bearing and oil Q's

Hey has anyone replaced a front wheel bearing on a gen 2 paj? How hard is it to do? Will I need a press? My bearing is making some unhappy clicking noises when the wheel is jacked up and you spin it. Was quoted $115+GST by BNT for a new one. Now i just have to wake up on saturday morning after the ...

Gutted. I thought that might be the case. There dont seem to be many 3.5 being wrecked. I might just replace the CV and boots if you think they are strong. Would be the quickest way to get me back out there. I rung Mitsi and they said that a new CV would be $500. Will ring round a few places ...

CV Help Please

Hey guys, I have a 1995 SWB Manual 3.5l pajero. It has been lift with 33s and has free wheeling hubs. The logic Both inner CV boots are split and at least one of the CVs is gone. The CVs seem to be the weak link in the drive train from what I have read. therefore I figure that having a second set of ...

Thanks NJV6. Went with the Paj due to the 3.5L motor, 150kw!!!!

It has freewheeling hubs but the CVs still seem to be making a bit of noise. Only noticable when the windows are down. Maybe the hubs are stuffed?

New pajero in wellington

Hey Nice to meet you all. I have just bought a SWB pajero, 3.5L manual. Its been lifted up with 33"s and has a snorkle. Looking to get out and about over summer. The front inner CVs are sounding a little sorry for themselves and have split boots so i will need to fix that some time soon. Cheers Matt
