Feroza F300 Temparature Guage

I recently had my temperature sensor replaced by an auto electrician and in his attempts to get an accurate reading from it he wound the gauge forward with the result that my truck often records temperatures in the H zone when in fact its not. I've had the dash board out but haven't figured out how ...

Feroza F300 Carburated

Guys I am in need of a replacement fuel pump for my Fez. Mine leaks oil and i'm told at some stage in the near future it will die completely and probably when I'm a long way from anywhere - does anyone have one in their spare parts that they would be prepare to part with for a reasonable price?? I'd ...

Roof Rack (DIY) for Resin Roofed Feroza

Folks Last year on one of the various Feroza sites I found two sets of plans for the construction of mounts for the rear section of my Feroza. This year, despite multiple searches I cannot locate either and now I really need a plan - mutter mutter mumble. Does anyone have copies of the plans, a ...

Re: anyone after feroza/ rocky (f300) parts

For sure - I have been reading the manual and it certainly looks doable so this Saturday weather permitting I'll rip into it (with great caution)

Re: anyone after feroza/ rocky (f300) parts

No probs - Bad luck tho so I hope the rebuild goes well.

I'll look at doing a gasket change as the pump works fine so that suggests the oil leak might (must) be the gasket although I suppose it could be something else.

Re: Batteries

G'day Dual batteries - I have just got started. Brought a battery tray and have mounted this on the left hand side of the engine. Got a battery ready to go but need to buy the isolator thingy - about $90 at super cheap so saving furiously. I have just fitted (manifold slit in four places) a free ...

Re: Air Cleaner sooty

Dropped into my local garage at lunchtime and spoke with the owner. He started the engine lifted the lid and said listen can you hear that? Hear what? I said all sounds good to me - you have a small leak at the manifold probably only the gasket but these things are known for cracking the manifold ...

Re: Air Cleaner sooty

I've done about 20,000k's since December. It was a new filter installed it myself. I don't think it's got wet and the truck is used daily so plenty of drying I would have thought. If I find it again I'll blow it clear into a plastic bag then we can have a look at it. In all my years of driving I ...

Re: Air Cleaner sooty

No the air cleaner is only about 4 - 5 months old. Air is drawn from the front left by the head light and a hand placed there reveals a good flow of air - the truck does have a vacuum operated flap that would draw air off the manifold but I haven't really checked this there being an apparent strong ...

I was on the hunt for why my spark plugs were all sooted up, why my fuel usage had gone up, why power was down and why under hard acceleration my truck miss fired. Re: Water Temp Guage

Hmmmm the sender has been replaced but alas the gauge remains lazy. A friend applied an ohms meter to it and said that the gauge was asking for a very large number of ohms thus the reason it wasn't responding. He turned the dial and at 32ohms the needle on the gauge rose sweetly to a position some ...

Water Temp Guage

Gents My temp guage is lazy, rises only a little unlee really hot then it would get to about one quater of the scale at best. It's been suggested to me that I remove the sensor from the block and give this a thorough clean. Thoughts, comments, suggestions and where abouts is this sensor hidden ...

Re: Fixing the Daihatsu white face of death Inclinometer

Meece Indeed I did resort to the hot glue gun - went for a drive this am and it worked great on the way out - it locked up on the way back but freed up when I pulled it out of the dash and gave it a wee tap. If it does so again *& I guess it will) I'll look at adjusting the needle a bit. Hey many ...
