I'm in the middle of putting on of these engines in my 81 single cab lux, dont know if i have every thing i need.

How long you keeping this around for?

Have just purchased a Toyota 3.0L V6.

I think i have a W56 box maybe.

Will these two bolt up or am i screwed?

ok, got someone who knows what they are doing to have a look. rings are fine turbo is shagged. anyone know of a suitable replacement?????

i can get jvc mp3 players with a front usb for around $250, you can also purchase a marine enclosure from trademe for around $50.

how hard is it to replace piston rings???

mine poked , have seen them on trademe for about $70 but none on there at the moment.

Alternativly, a 3L surf engine for the same price would be cool.

whats involved on these working bees?? any use for a sparky whos faviorite tools are a wreaking bar and sledge hammer?

Was a great afternoon, didn't break anything (well maybe a small prob with a diff nose bearing) had great fun What was the outcome with our new "friend" in the red hilux? The red hilux was repaired then it blew front seal , fixed that now have over heating issue . Now have a snorkel so won't drown ...
