Hi, yeah it did make a clicking noise from the relays!, but it did disengage after a bit of brut and does re-engage after a bit of a drive but was wondering if it was the motor, however it must be working to some degree. do you know where i can locate it? I havent looked yet but would be awesome to ...

Hi, Can anyone help I havent used my truck for a while, I took it for a drive today to give it a blow out, while out I through it into low and when I put it back in high the cdl would not disengage, I had to put it back in my drive and when I made a right hand turn I got a bang from the transfer ...

VX 80 series chasis cracking
Hi Guys, I have heard over the years that the 80 series in known for cracking the chasis where the steering box and panhard attatch, I have just found that mine has done the same and was wondering what fixes people have done?

Cheers, yeah it is a bit more than I want to pay, my winch is fine but the bearing housing on the front of the motor crapped itself. I think If I wasnt able to fix it I would proberly replace it with an aftermarket winch.

Cheers for this, My 80 series had done 320,000 and I too had been told if they werent noisy now then they proberly had been done already, but I am taking all this onboard and have booked it in for tomorrow to have them replaced as just not worth the risk!

I had to run a spacer under the gear box mount, but that fixed it strait away.
Its funny, it seems no 2 Safaris are the same! you can have 2 identical trucks with the same mods and they react differently! I suppose it depends what day the truck was made! haha

Yeah, I heard they now do them in Rubber, but by the time you spend $300 on them and fluff round putting the damn things in.. well I dont know. when you have a bush thats off centred like that it can never be as strong or last as long, I was gutted as they wernt cheap! and fell to bits. From what I have seen adding a turbo to your 4.2 motor performs a lot better than the standard turbo motors.

thanks muzza... you were right... the boot on the passengers side rear has gone. will have to try and find 1... do you know if they make after market ones you can buy or do you have to goto nisssan?
