Re: My day job

Nice day job. Still feel for you having to drive one of those heaps of shit everyday. Looking at your camera, made me think of this... I reckon every truck driver should have one of these in the cab. I used to drive a Hino 700 with quad axle semi around the Coromandel Whitianga/Whangamata/Waihi and ...

Re: Project XJ Crawler

With that gearing I'm guessing you'll be running 35s? Hows the D30 going to handle that you reckon? Bloody hell customs are a rip off aren't they. I have a roof rack set up I want to buy from Australia for my Wrangler but customs and shipping, just aren't worth it. Its going to cost just as much to ...

Re: Show us your ......... JEEP

Nice one tycho. What lift are you running, and do you have stock control arms? I went into double black offroads store in Melbourne the other day, good guys to deal with, if only shipping wasn't such a killer. PPM tie rod, best price Melb to Wgtn I could find was $240. The rest I'm taking on as ...

Re: 35" M/T for 16" rim - whats good value?

Kumho KL71s go good, and wear good, but are pricey.

I picked up 5 Silverstone extreme mt117 off tyreshoponline for $2100 fitted which is good buying, but they are more like a 34" even though they say 35s. Haven't tried them out yet.

x5 Goodyear Wranglers 35x12.5 r17

35x12.5 r17 Goodyear Wranglers, 4 have about 8mm in the middle and the spare around 12mm. $600 for the tyres, no rims. I'm driving Wgtn-Akld with a trailer on Tue the 14th if anyone up the line is keen. Cheers. http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r158/coop_025/bf995b80-f321-463a-9b9f-d505467b4f2f ...

Love it, you cant beat the WJ V8 power/weight ratio. Have you re geared it? And got a front bar coming? Those flares will look the part especially with a front bar. Gday, is anyone here a member?
I've looked at their website, and sent off an email a few weeks ago, with no reply. The website doesn't look like it gets updated often :?
Failing that can anyone recommend a general club Wgtn or lower north Island. About time I joined one. Cheers.

Jeep rims/tyres for sale JK/WJ

Gidday I'm getting rid of my wheels and tyres, going down to 16x8s and 11.5 wide silverstones. These are off my JK and pretty sure they will only fit the WJs (as far as I know). Rugged Ridge alloy 17x9 with 4.75" back spacing. These go for 220 usd each. Selling all five. 35x12.5 Good Year Wranglers ...

Gday thought I would post some pics up of my location about 1700km north of Perth, about half way to Darwin. Gday, paid under 35k for it, yeah they are something different to a patrol or cruiser, or any other of the usual jappas, off the show room floor most likely the most capable 4wd available. Mines V6 6 spd manual which goes better than I thought, although it has been re geared. I would have liked a GQ ...

Gday what is the state of this track? Never been before, is it for shineys or a bit more hard out? Would one capable 4wd (winch, lockers, 35s) be ok to go it alone, or some of it alone at this time of year? Cheers.

Good luck, I seriously thought about getting in contact with you, but ended up buying the silver one on 35s in Dunedin a few weeks ago. Re: Bit of advice from Jeep owners...

Gday, don't know the truck, the ad doesn't say much but it looks ok. If it's a good quality lift it should drive and steer like a stock one, at 5.5 inches and long arms there should be adjustable panhard rods, dropped pitman arm and free from any driveshaft vibration. If you could get him to list ...
