Well I got new tyres but no bugger had the Wranglers in stock. Got Cooper Discovery 265/70/16 instead. Tested in Woodhill on Sat and performed very well indeed.

Took the family in to test new tyres out (Cooper Discovery ATR 265/70/16). Had a blast and the tyres performed beyond expectations.

I'm in for the next trip you guys do!!

Anybody got the goods on these? Thinking about them for a Bighorn and would like some info regarding wear on the road (I do 500+ km per week). Also what are they like on the sand and in the dirt?

Recommendations on alternate brands always accepted.

Very interested in this but nervous also as I am very much a newbie with a stock standard Bighorn '92 including road tyres. (only mods so far: New rear springs and manual hubs)

I saw some trucks coming back thru helenville. I was very jealous (couldnt get out) but was in there 2 weeks previous. I am an absolute novice with a standard bighorn but what a blast!! Prob have another go in a week or 2.

Basics....only mods so far are a few dings and scratches and the wheel cover fell off....oh.....and I have put manual hubs on and heavier rear springs. Might look at tyres soon but these ones got me round the forrest and thru the clay (above pic the exception) so in no great hurry. I will put up ...

We only had 2 trucks. I think you could go in by yourself if you wanted. All you would have to do then is be realistic and stay on the safe track so you dont get stuck. There is heaps to do thats fun but safe.
