Hi All. Need a low rise <95mm 2 post clear floor hoist, maybe 4-4.5T max. BUT needs to be the type that does NOT require it to go up out of the interlocks before it goes down.
Thoughts? middle of the range, not cheapie or costie!!

prado rear axle swap into surf info
Hi all. Got the chance to get a prado 95 rear axle to put into the 185 surf to get disc brakes. This one even has the load proportioning valve. What about needing the master cylinder and/or brake booster? Has anyone done this? It;s my daily driver and tow wagon so I can't get into needing certs or a...

Re: Largest battery for R51 Pathfinder
Here we are again with My dad's 2010 pathfinder. The 4 yr old MF66 has died many times and tests badly now. What is the biggest sucker I can get in that size? Diff battery trays are not an option right now. Is there a dual batt kit? Seems no room for a second battery anywhere.

260Kkm and never changed one. I suspect you have something else going on. I'm frequently balls deep in rivers and mud so it's not a road queen. Lots of towing too.

I have had good results with silverdale, to answer that question. As above, if your rad is in good shape just flush and maintain. Fan hub: I did a writeup on that with pics on the KZN185 surf forum in aus. I have just altered the adjustment screws inside the hub about 5mm and that has made a much la...

Re: longer shocks for 96 surf
Gnerally all the aftermarket stuff is the same size shocks and just heavier springs. I've found ironman and Dobinsons are about the only ones that have rear springs that are captive. My Gabriel shocks are slightly longer in the back than stock. (to suit 4runner). I still use EFS up front. If you get...

EFS springs from the back of my truck. Used but good condition. Have been replaced with something longer and more flexi. They have not sagged. TPR-103E standard 40mm lift for the rear of the surf or prado - in fact these gave me about 55mm over stock... Constant 100kg to GVM, 210-300 lbs/inch. They ...

oil change 1kz-te - prefill filter?
Hi All
when doing oil changes on a 1kz-te, it always sits there for an alarming no of seconds while the oil system is filling the filter and repressurising. I always try and fill the filter a bit before (quickly) flipping upside down and doing it up, but is there a better way of doing this?

E-locker, but its not that. It has been doin it well before the elocker, in fact since I got the truck at 100KKm ex japan. This is one nice surf, been very well maintained ever since I got it, and before that too by the looks. I think one rare surf that was actually looked after in Japan as well. Sh...

Hi All 99 surf in v good condition with 220Kkm on the clock. Always been well serviced by me. So in normal driving (in 2wd), there is the usual amount of slight slack in the drivetrain between throttle on and off as you would expect. Re: New KZN185 1KZ
Hi Harvey You don't need a blanking plate, just block the vacuum line that goes into the egr actuator with a ball bearing, and make sure it seats up on the outside of the little green filter thingee, so that the suction will not move it any further up the line. But yes, install the auberins egt, als...

wanted - 90 series prado rear spring rubber coil inserts
Hi All
I'm after 2 x prado 90 series rear rubber bump stop/coil inserts that mount on top of the coil to put into my 185 surf for a bit of vibration isolation. The surfs never came with this but the prados have it in the rear coils.
